Raeann Rideout is director of partnerships and outreach for Elder Abuse Prevention Ontario (EAPO) and, for the past 16 years, has been actively engaged with community stakeholders and service providers as the Central East regional consultant.
The scope of her work in building collaborative partnerships, locally and nationally, provides a forum to apply more than 23 years of experience working in the field of elder abuse. Forging effective and sustainable partnerships is key to the success of EAPO’s mandate to implement the Ontario Strategy to Combat Elder Abuse.
Raeann directs her training skills to presenting to front-line service providers, delivering public education for older adults, and bringing community organizations together to build capacity for response and interventions where older adults are at-risk or experiencing abuse.
For more than eight years, she served as co-chair of the Canadian Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (CNPEA) and as director of its board.
